About Us

Have you ever heard this from other providers?

"You'll never be able to play your sport again."

"Maybe you should stop running, it is bad for your knees."

"If you keep going, you'll develop arthritis and a total knee replacement may be in your near future."

If so, you've come to the right place.

Imagine:

  • Knowing exactly what phase you are in your rehab process and objective goals to hit before advancing to the next phase.
  • Having a step-by-step guide to address any aches and pains since rehab is never linear
  • Not having to go through another wasted urgent care appointment just for them to tell you to "rest and ice it".
  • Having a Doctor of Physical Therapy in your back pocket to answer any of your questions - and never wasting time on "Dr. Google"

Kim Manlangit Sacramento Physical Therapy - Lakás PT

Founder, Performance PT

After undergoing two ACL surgeries as a teenager (without EVER getting referred to physical therapy), Dr. Kim learned firsthand how broken our healthcare system is as a youth athlete. She worked for several years in a sports-specific insurance-based practice, but  saw limitations within that system and started Lakás PT & Performance in 2022. Her main objective is to help every client that comes through the door regain the confidence to not only get past their injuries, but become a stronger, more resilient version of themselves.

Jasmine Currimao, PT, DPT

Performance Physical Therapist

Jasmine grew up in the Central Valley of California and was first introduced to the field of physical therapy after a basketball injury led to ACL surgery at the end of high school. Having been a teenage athlete lacking direction in her rehab and cleared to return to play on a torn ACL, Jasmine has a personal understanding of the barriers that exist in the traditional model of therapy. She is passionate about helping others progress through their ACL rehab and bounce back to peak performance. She has been a lifelong proponent of sports and movement as her hobbies include basketball, snowboarding, hiking, and most recently ultimate frisbee. Jasmine recently moved to Sacramento in 2023, and is excited to serve the active community while empowering athletes to optimize their health and wellness, achieve their goals, and return to the activities they love.
